Kiteboarding
This year, the Coconet Classic will be hosting the Kiteboarding AKSA National titles. The Australian National Championships have been running annually since 2000 and represent the peak level of the sport in Australia. The event will commence on Wednesday 8th April 2009, concluding on Saturday 11th April.
Freestyle kitesurfing events are judged by a panel of four judges and based on technical difficulty and execution. Heats are generally run for 10 minutes and involve 1 on 1 competition. To be eliminated from the competition riders must be defeated twice so everyone gets a second chance. Entries open Monday 24th November 2008. Enter online! Keep checking the website for more info.
