Thanks to the great response we’ve had to the first line up, your support of this years Coconet Classic is proof that a large festival in sunny central QLD can be a huge success… but its only getting bigger.
As we draw closer we will announce more feature acts and attractions to help ensure the Coconet Classic delivers the experience you deserve.
So to get your taste buds singing we have another fine ensemble of succulent Aussie favourites just waiting to be unveiled. So joining the already massive line up are…
Aussie Hip-Hop supergroup The Herd. A favourite on the festival circuit, the Sydney octet (yes… there’s 8 of them!) pack a dynamic live show filled with infectious grooves, string arrangements, brass instruments and impressive vocal harmonies. Couple this with the release of their smash hit LP “Summerland” and a 2008 ARIA nomination, The Herd will certainly have the animals of the mosh stomping to the beat.
The Dukes of Windsor and their innovative new style fusing synth laden indie pop-rock, with that 80’s flair we all love, creating a fresh, catchy sound that is filling dance floors across the nation. Sailing on the success of number 1 single “The Others”, an ARIA nomination, national tours and hit new single “It’s a War”. The Dukes of Windsor possess that mix of dance grooves and guitar riffs that will keep even the rock-obsessed listeners happy.
Brisbane’s Dead Letter Circus are a band on the rise…and fast. Hectic tour schedules, sold out shows and high rotations of hit singles “Reaction” and “Next in Line” on Triple J have put the four lads in demand. Combined with their incendiary live performances Dead Letter Circus’ alternate rock styling’s blend frenetically paced beats, delay soaked riffage and soaring sing-a-long choruses setting them apart from their peers and placing them firmly in a genre of their own.
Forget the hype, Mammal are the real deal. A visceral alloy of prog, punk and raw rock, Mammal are forward thinking and forward moving. Armed with a live show bearing resemblance to “a pack of wild animals unleashed” (nicely put - Carolyn Miller, Drum Media), Mammal are unapologetically loud and proud. They won’t just rock the Coconet Classic stage - they’ll tear it to shreads. HELL YEAH!
